This Norm Foster play opens on Thursday, Feb. 9 and runs until Feb. 18. It will be your first chance to enjoy the new look at the Kincardine Theatre Guild, debuting with this play. The Trillium Foundation, along with private donations, helped the guild with building renovations, so come on out and see the new flooring, seating, paint, lighting and fixtures, all while enjoying a great night of theatre. Enjoy cabaret seating and a licensed bar while watching two of Kincardine’s most talented actors bring Norm Foster’s story to life.

Come and watch opposites attract as KTG veterans Elaine Slade (as Emma Currie) and Rob Millar (as Jack Forrester) appear in this wonderful combination of comedy, drama and mystery. The team is already in rehearsal for this terrific Norm Foster production. This is the Guild’s entry for the Western Ontario Drama League (WODL) festival, and it is sure to be a strong contender. New for this play will be cabaret-style seating, with four to a table. You can view the seating plans when you come to the box office for your tickets.

In her studio on Granville Island in Vancouver, Izabela hand-crafts every scarf and shawl individually, so no two are ever alike. She uses Nuno felting, which is an innovative Japanese felting technique that combines wool and woven sheer fabric. This type of felt is made by hand, anchoring very fine wool fibres into the organza silk. The resulting gossamer felt is extremely lightweight and has excellent drape and flexibility. It combines the lightness of silk with the warmth and funkiness of unspun wool, and will add amazing panache to your wardrobe.

KTG has a great line-up for its 2011-2012 season. First up is Anne of Green Gables – the Musical, running in November and December. As anyone knows who has been to previous KTG Christmas season shows, tickets sell out quickly, so call as soon as you can after Oct. 1 to have the best choice of dates and seats.

The winter show (Feb/March) is Norm Foster’s Storm Warning. One of Canada’s favourite playwrights, Foster’s work is always a big hit with Kincardine audiences, and this one will be no exception. The spring show (May/June) is Hollywood Arms, is based on a memoir by beloved comedienne Carol Burnett. It is absolutely not to be missed!
