We have tiny vintage glass druggist bottles, apothecary-themed jewellery, critters and bugs, glittery musical pins, and more. Of course, we still have our wildly popular beaded jewellery from Guatemala, high-end wearable art from Paris, and lots of vintage images in every style.

From Israel:

J’Adorn is pleased to introduce a gorgeous new line from Israel. Designer Michal Negrin’s original vintage-inspired pieces featured lace as the foundation for her first jewellery collection. Nowadays, her lace pieces (using a base known as guipure) fall under her “vintage” category. Building on that beginning, her wide-ranging designs now feature Swarovski crystals, glass beads, cameos, and various metal elements that are embroidered and arranged. All the weaving and embroidery is done by hand using a needle and thread, carefully following her original designs.

Michal’s work is stunning, with designs available in rings, bracelets, necklaces, headpieces, hair accessories, compact mirrors, lockets, and more. They range from the delicate and elegant to dramatic oversized pieces, so you can choose something suitable for everyday or for special occasions. Any one of her pieces will grace you with a touch of colour and magic. We’ve stocked a few in the store to give you an idea of this beautiful line.

From Kincardine:

J’Adorn is also delighted to carry the “charming” designs of our own Terri Hodgins, who is the owner and creative force behind Lakeside Creations. Terri’s necklaces and earrings feature pewter or sterling charms with matching chains, and a few of her pieces are even embellished with beach stone or glass gleaned from our local Kincardine beaches.

It’s her personal touch that makes these pieces so popular. You can choose exactly the charm you want (she has a beautiful catalogue available in the store), and you can also specify the colour of any crystals, the type of setting, or anything else you might have in mind. Tickets are now available for Hollywood Arms, based on Carol Burnett’s memoir. Co-written by Burnett and her daughter Carrie Hamilton, Hollywood Arms promises a great night out to wrap up the Kincardine Theatre Guild’s 2011-2012 season.

Hollywood Arms is the bittersweet story of a girl who spends a troubled childhood with her mother and Nanny before finally making it big in New York City. Drawn from the life of an actual star, Carol Burnett’s early days were spent in a dingy apartment near Hollywoodland (as it was called in 1941).

The play is based on Burnett’s 1986 memoir, One More Time, which she co-wrote with her daughter, Carrie Hamilton. Hamilton never saw her work reach the stage since she died of brain and lung cancer in January, 2002. Burnett was determined that the play would serve as a tribute to her late daughter’s memory, bringing the play first to Chicago in April 2002 and Broadway in October, 2002.

Now, KTG has been working hard for months to bring this story to you. Under the direction of Elaine Slade, the talented cast and crew are ready to bring this story to life.
